First off, I really appreciate this project and the efforts put into to make something so comprehensive. A couple issues I have noticed in playing through a few times. I have noticed that sometime when I have a super high stockpile of coal (~30k), the game will drop me down to zero with no explanation. Maybe this is the max that can be gathered but it seems incorrect that it should roll over to zero and turn off your generator. Also, I had an issue in my last play-through where I was not able to select the highest generator power option even though I had researched it and could see if in the generator sub-menu. It is a super enjoyable game though and the bugs are worth playing through.

I was on the last few days without child labour or pledge of loyalty and I had 10k Coal and enough food to last the storm, and then I forgot to check the Generators stress level for one second and I was suddenly booted straight to the title screen and because there was no save function so I rage quit.

GG Nice Labour of Love Troll game👍🏻

Edit: Ok I tried again and because of sickness discontent skyrocketed and I was thrown out again even though I had everything they wanted and funnily enough in the real Frostpunk you at least get the 2 day ultimatum so this demake is actually harder then the real game. Truly one of the most frustrating things Ive played in a long time! Amazing

This is great and I'm having a lot of fun with it! Unfortunately I just ran into this bug.

I'm running the desktop version on Windows 10, please let me know if I can provide any more info that would be helpful.

Hey! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. What were you doing when this occurred? Also, absolute bummer. Looks like you were nearing the end!

I have had this issue occur twice when I am building a second sawmill somewhat close to the wall. Right when I place the building down, it freezes up and I get an error (can't remember if it looks exactly like the one above but it is close).

Is there some way to make a save in desktop version of the game?

There is not. Pico-8 has a very limited save system unfortunately.

Great job on this, super impressive to pull this off on the Pico-8!

Wow! This must have taken so much time to make. Do you work at 11-bit Studios?

I do not! Just a big fan of the game!
